The most important goal that we set in the last year at the company Lović & Co was to maintain successful business operations, keep all the employees, pay off all our regular obligations, and to successfully overcome all the difficulties that the pandemic had brought. We succeeded in this, and in 2020, we managed to complete a new facility where we moved the complete manufacturing of the metal cabinets, and we bought new, more up-to-date machines, which improved the quality of our products.
“This year has started more than well for us. Since the beginning of 2021, we have hired 15 new employees, so now we have 65 of them. We have opened new projects throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Union, there have been more and more new customers every day, and I hope that this year will continue to be as good as it has been so far,” Edis Lović pointed out.
The company Lović & Co has worked on a number of important projects so far, and for all the years of operation, they have managed to achieve good and correct cooperation with a large number of domestic companies. In addition to the projects they have worked on the domestic market and with domestic companies, Lović has also highlighted the projects with the business partners from the Netherlands and Germany as significant. Over the past five years, their products have found the place on the markets of Croatia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Germany and Austria, and they are more than satisfied with that. They expect this year to be their most successful so far.
“Besides the 15 employees we have hired so far this year, I think that number will increase as time goes on. We have also purchased and ordered a new machine, which is our biggest investment in individual equipment so far. It is a TwinMatic machine from the Swiss manufacturer Jorns. The value of the machine is over 350,000 euros and it is one of the most modern sheet metal machines in our region. We expect the delivery and commissioning of that machine in the next two months,” Lović said.
As some of the main projects for this year, Lović has highlighted the SIKA technologies and systems for flat roofs, which is something new from their offer. Given that, as he added, they have experience “on the roof” since the nineties, in addition to sheet metal roofs, they now procure and install the SIKA foils and systems for flat roofs (green roofs, slab roofs, etc.).
“In the sector of metal cabinets and metal accessories, there are also news, and a lot of new products. The last very important one is the first bicycle garage in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The garages are intended for the EU market, but of course, as the first made in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they can already be found in all bicycle shops in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Soon, many more interesting products can be expected from our assortment, but I would not talk much about them now, because many of them are still in the preparatory phase. With all new investments and products, it is important to mention the implementation of the ISO 9001 standard. We have decided to implement the ISO standards for several reasons, the main one being the improvement of product quality and the business system itself. We have already started with the implementation of the ISO standard, and in the coming months we are expecting the certificate issued by the German certification company TÜV SÜD”, says Lović.
The Lović & Co company has existed under this name since 1997, although their beginnings were well before the war itself and the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia. Today, their operations are separated into two sectors. The first and the one by which they are most recognisable are sheet metal roofs and complete sheet metal accessories. The manufacturing, sale and installation of all types of sheet roofs is our core business.
The other sector is the manufacturing and sale of all kinds of metal cabinets and metal accessories. Their standard products are hydrant cabinets, electrical enclosures, manifold cabinets, metal shelves, tool trolleys and panels, various smaller mailboxes, etc. Various metal cabinets and metal components have been made as per order, mainly for EU countries.
